Cape Town Adventure Guide
Cape Town Bucket list – for the adrenaline Junkies
If you want to feel the wind rush through your fingertips and hair, danger is your middle name and adrenaline is your best friend, then we have the perfect list here for you.
Shark Cage diving
Cape Town is one of the best places in the world to go shark cage diving and get face to face with the king of the Ocean, our very own south African Jaws. Shark cage diving has allowed a large amount of research to be conducted in the aim to conserve the marine biodiversity, particularly the Great White Shark, who you will be introduced to when you go down under. Not only will you get to swim with his pearly whites, but you will get a crash-course of marine biology, the traits and troubles of the endangered Great white and some of our other amazing marine critters in the deep blue. Better get your Steven Spielberg on. One of our own Once Family members, Nats took a dive in the deep blue and all she could say was “It was the most fantastic and frightening experience to date…can’t wait to go again!”
Ok, so jumping out of a plane is definitely not recommended for the faint-hearted, but for those who want to feel like they are going on a spy mission or want to feel as majestic as a soaring eagle, jump! Don’t worry … we will catch you.
But seriously, come chat with us at reception, we will find you a pretty metal bird to jump out of.
I dare you to race me, Mario Carts got nothing on me. Here in Cape Town, we have two of the best indoor karting circuits in the country including Century Karting at Canal Walk and Killarney Race Track replica at Kenilworth Karting. You don’t need much experience, but if the wheel makes your gut turn, driving instructions for beginner go-kart racers will be right there for you. It’s the perfect activity for a good laugh, a burst of energy and an excellent excuse to get feisty with your competitive side! See you on the tracks.
Zip-lining is definitely a good way to get away from your ex. Jump, zip, bye! For the rest of us who are not in this predicament but still want to zipline…it is one of the most popular attractions in Cape Town for those who have adventure in their blood. Experience the rush and go on a thrilling ride between mountain outcrops and tree canopies, you will feel free as a bird! If this left you wanting more and you have the guts to try one of the longest zip-line routes in Africa (which is 2.3 kilometers long), would you dare? Go down to reception at any of our hostels and inquire. If you ask them for other ways to get rid of your ex…we can’t promise anything.
Now that we got your pulse racing, come chat with us at reception so that we can make it happen. See you guys on the wild side, who know, we might share a cage soon.
