Taking you on a journey through culture, taste and sound! Listen to our favourite tunes, explore historical neighbourhoods, learn about the powerful street art and indulge in it all; craft beer, food and wine tasting!
First stop: Starting in Bo Kaap, formerly known as the Cape Malay Quarter, learn about the multicultural residents of this old area and why they brightened up the city with their daring and vibrant coloured houses.
Second stop: Visit District Six, a neighbourhood strongly related to the dark history of the Apartheid legislation known as the Group Areas Act.
Third stop: Lunch at a local craft brewery that produces weird and wonderful beer infusions such as passionfruit and mango! We recommend the beer and meat pairing board. A variety of meal and drink options are available.
Fourth stop: Drive through the maze of colourful streets in the first suburb in South Africa, Woodstock. A street art intiative was started many years ago to uplift the rundown area for local residents.
Fifth stop: Meander along the famous Chapman's Peak Drive, the most scenic drive in the world, to end up at our favourite winery boasting mountain and ocean views.
Last stop: For the finale we take you to a secret spot to bask in the African sun and take in the view of the immense Twelve Apostles mountain range and four Clifton beaches.
Most fun and quirky tour of Cape Town.
We had the best day with Josh on the tour in the van! He really knows his stuff and all the best spots of the city, we all had such good fun. I would definitely recommend for groups of friends or even solo travellers, the history and background to all the places visited is not like any tour, Josh really drew us in and we all left learning more than we expected.
Driving along Chapman's peak and to the winery was beautiful and even more cool in the vintage camper van!
We loved this tour so much!
